Sorry to hear about your back experience with it!
The last time I got an email from them was in early June, and they were replying to an email from me about ten days old. As far as I know they have been busy with the firmwares (in the message they stated that they were trying to have them released "by mid-June"), and the reason they have been pulled from the site is that some people tried to install those on the new colored Opus and bricked them. They only work on white units, because the new ones have a different accelerometer... so they just decided to hide them for the time being.
Try writing directly to support@bookeen.com and writing "URGENT" in your subject. It might help. However I suppose that as soon as the new firmwares are finally out (I think they want to make sure that they work fine!), they'll catch up with messages.

Read both this and the earlier Bookeen Opus posts--very helpful. I liked the Opus very much but had to return it b/c the screen would freeze after disconnecting from my computer--and Bookeen support, after one e-mail, never replied to my repeated attempts to get help. I think they are struggling with firmware (the same message has been displayed on their site since May--"coming soon"). I want to buy the new Opus but can't get any information from Bookeen. Have you been able to contact them recently?

ps--the reseller from whom I bought my Opus extended their deadline for returning the Opus so that I could try to find a solution with Bookeen support. No joy with Bookeen support.
